Hi I'm Haili

I grew up in Utah. I am serving a mission in France. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with a love for dancing; I have danced since I could walk. It really taught me to have self confidence and self control. It was something I could turn to to release my frustrations when my parents got divorced when I was in high school. Their divorce was really hard on me, and it forced me to really look at my life and try to be a better person. I became more committed to dancing, school, and most importantly the Lord, and the covenants I had made with Him at baptism. By doing that, I found that even though something seems unbearable and impossible to get through, the Lord is watching over you, and you can come out on the other side a better and happier person. I found that my parents' divorce was a blessing in disguise. I was able to move to a different city where I made life changing friends, who led me to indescribable happiness. I was able to go to a high school with teachers that influenced me to work hard and become the best student I could be. I learned that, often, you must go through a rough trial to learn and grow before you are prepared to receive a blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have gone through many trials in my life, like my parents getting divorced, moving to a different city and school, and finally starting my own life as an adult, I could not have made it through without knowing one simple truth - that my Heavenly Father loves me. He loves us all so much that he sent his only begotten Son to atone for us; that we can return to live with Him again. And that we can be forgiven of our sins, and our burdens may be made light through Christ. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored by direct revelation from God to Joseph Smith, and that the church is led by a prophet of God today. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is led by revelation from God. I know that Heavenly Father hears my prayers, and through faith and diligence, my prayers are answered. I know that I can live my own life by direct revelation from God. My Heavenly Father knows me personally, he knows my fears, my hopes, and my ambitions. I know, I know, that because of Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice, and Joseph Smith's restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I can return to be with my family and my Heavenly Father for all eternity.

How I live my faith

I have been so blessed to grow up in a very close community. In my ward, I was called to be a visiting teacher. As a visiting teacher I get to go visit some ladies from my area every month. It is such a blessing in my life to be able to visit with them, and talk about what is going on in their lives. Visit teaching is a fantastic way for a community to become very close, and be able to look out for one another. Its an incredible opportunity to serve others and feel that pure love of Christ. Another way I have received the opportunity to feel the pure love of Christ is by serving a mission. I get to go out into the world and serve the people in my assigned area. I will serve for 18 months, and my focus will be on teaching the people in my area about the Gospel of Jesus Christ that was restored by Joseph Smith. I will be able to just purely serve those around me, and be a helping hand to those who are in need.
