Hi I'm Kendra

I have four adopted siblings. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live my life around the children that surround me. All four of my siblings are adopted, very young, and have special needs. I love them dearly. The amount of struggle that preceded adopting my siblings is a testament to the fact that their very presence is a blessing from God. We would never have our family if it weren't for the incredible mercy and love of our Heavenly Father. I love children. My greatest dream is to be a wife and mother. I will never rest until I have achieved that dream.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church, I suffered through many years of teasing and insults because of my beliefs. When I was 13 I went through the worst year of it all. The physical, mental and emotional abuse was all but unbearable. I spiraled into depression. I felt like God had abandoned me. The more I felt this way, the more I believed the words of my abusers. At one point, however, I realized that God was the only thing that could get me through what was happening. So I turned to him. Instead of pouring my tears into my pillow, I poured my heart out in prayer. In those earnest and tender prayers I developed a testimony of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. By the end of that year, I knew without a doubt that God loved me and had a plan for me. It was then that I truly converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission for the church. For the next 18 months every moment of my life will be focused towards my Heavenly Father's work. As I teach, preach and work I will show him and the world that the savior Jesus Christ has brought me to a point where I can never deny him.
