Hi I'm Riley Hale

Born and raised in Salt Lake. I am a student, a skiier, a climber and a missionary. I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old, born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah, and currently serving as a full time missionary in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission. At home I spend my free time doing all sorts of different things. I love spending time outdoors and hanging out with my friends. I attended BYU for one year before departing on a mission and plan to continue my education there in the fall of 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born and raised as a member of the LDS faith, I still consider myself a convert. During my later years in high school I came to realize how important the teachings of Christ are to me. At the time I doubted the beliefs of my upbringing, but decided I hadn't really given it a fair shot. I decided to put Christ's teachings to the test as he directed in in John 7:17 "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." As I tried to live the doctrine and teachings of the restored gospel, I recognized how it strengthened my personal relationship with Christ and my Father in Heaven. I learned through experience that the doctrine brought forth by latter day prophets was of not made by the hands of man, but brought forth by the power of God. I am currently serving a a two year mission, and I love sharing what I have come to learn and love about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a simple day to day manner. I am constantly learning what it means to be a true disciple of Christ, and striving to become more like him each day. As a missionary, I have learned that preaching the gospel is best done by honest and sincere example, Christ being the best. I have many faults, but I have come to love learning from them as I try to pattern my life after the teachings and character of Jesus Christ.
