Hi I'm Jill

I'm a Montana girl born and raised. I am a wife, a mother, and a thrift store junkie.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. I stay at home with my kids while my husband brings home the bacon. My whole life I wanted to be a stay at home mom because that's what my mom was, and she was and is my hero. Little did I know how challenging it would be. But I have found that hard DOES NOT mean bad, and I wouldn't trade my "job" for anything in the world. I love sewing, reading, and going to yard sales and thrift stores. I love a good deal, and hate paying full price for most things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. My family attended church every Sunday, and my parents held different positions in the church all through my childhood. Church was our life. I knew from a very young age that God loved me and knew me. I knew this from my experience with praying, reading scriptures, and attending church with my family. Later on, my dad chose another path that ultimately destroyed his happiness and health, but those of us in my family that chose to stay close to the Lord, are living happy lives full of God's goodness. Trials still come and go, but we have peace in our hearts and smiles on our faces because we trust in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday with my family. I teach a class for women 18 and older one Sunday a month as well as working with girls 12-18 years old. With my family we pray and read scriptures daily. We also have one night a week reserved for planning the week, sharing personal accomplishments, learning a gospel principle, and a fun activity or game. This night is called Family Home Evening (FHE). Individually, I pray and study scriptures daily. I try to be kind to those around me, and help out my neighbors. Most importantly, I try to love and serve my sweet husband and crazy kiddos. To me living my faith isn't so much about a checklist of things to do, but just living my life so that I have peace in my heart. Trying to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ brings that peace into my life.
