Hi I'm Logan Neerings

I grew up in Syracuse, Utah. I am serving in Porland, Oregon. I'm a baseball player and you better believe I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play baseball and hang out with friends. I am the oldest of five kids. I love to wakeboard and fish and do anything outside. I love to party and listen to music. I have a crazy sense of humor. I was in student body office at Clearfield High School. I lettered four years in baseball and enjoyed every second of my time in high school, however, I am giving my will to the Lord for two years and leaving my family so that others may have theirs forever. I love to share the gospel. I have been blessed to grow up in a house of goodly parents that were examples to me and taught me about my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Jesus so much. Without him, we would not have the blessing of the Atonement. I know that the atonement is key to our religion. I'm giving two years to cry repentance unto the people of Portland, Oregon-just like Alma of old. I love this gospel. I don't understand everything about it but I do understand the simple doctrines and I'm here to bear testimony of those simple doctrines. I love this gospel and I am so blessed to lose myself in the work because that has helped me to truly find myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed and asked God if it was the true church and received a confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I promised myself and my God that I would stand up for this Book with all my heart, mind, might, and strength. I know this gospel can bless everyone's lives and that if you repent, become baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end, that you can have eternal happiness and live with your family for eternity. I haven't always been the best example of the believers but as I have gained my own testimony, I strive each day to become more like Jesus Christ. I'm not perfect, in fact i'm not even close to perfect but I know that my weaknesses can be made strengths if I rely on my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission in Portland, Oregon. I knock on doors and work long hours to share this great message, or the "Good News" of the gospel. It is not always easy to do this. People judge me on a daily basis. I've been yelled at, cursed at, and called names, but because of these struggles, I have been blessed to see miracles and have been able to be an instrument in God's hands.

What is faith?

Logan Neerings
Faith is believing in something that cannot be seen but which is true. I like the comparison in Alma 32:27-28. Where faith is compared to a seed. If we give place for the seed, if it is a true seed, and a good seed, that seed will grow and it will become delicious to you. It will need nourishment so that it will grow. Faith is a key part of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that if we do all the little things that we are asked to do in church, that our faith will grow and the word of God will become a big part of our life and that our testimony that started with a little seed, can grow. Give place for this seed and let it grow in you. I did and I have never regretted doing so. My faith has grown so much from doing this and I know yours will too. Show more Show less
