Hi I'm Collin Overall

I grew up in a family of music. I blew away hundreds of audiences with my drums and piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised into a musical family. We run a piano business, so naturally, we all play piano very well. In school, I joined the band as a percussionist because apart from piano, I enjoy rhythms and sounds. I stuck with that all through high school, even playing on the drum line in my high school marching band. In the marching band, I had the opportunity to play for and entertain thousands of people at football games, competitions, and parades. I love my music, but I also love my sports. Throw me into any game and I'll gladly play it, especially basketball. Apart from my extracurricular activities, I took school very seriously, enrolling in rigorous classes and working my absolute hardest. It paid off when I graduated from high school with honors, earning several scholarships and passing all my AP tests. With all that going on though, I have always stayed active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am currently getting ready to serve a mission for this church in Frankfurt, Germany.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ, I was kind of expected to get baptized when I turned 8 years old. I chose to get baptized, but I didn't fully know what it meant. I was lucky to be born into a good family that is strong in the church. They have helped me to choose the right and build my testimony throughout my life. Of course, I understand why I got baptized now. I followed the Savior Jesus Christ's example, becoming cleansed from sin. I'm not perfect, though. I make many mistakes, but Christ gave everyone the opportunity to ask forgiveness from our sins. I am truly thankful for the love Jesus Christ has for me and everyone in the world. I have followed his gospel my whole life because I know that it's true and it has blessed my life so much. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and I invite those who read this to find out more about this church, because it will bless their lives too. I know that for a fact.

How I live my faith

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have never lost faith in it. I have been active all my life, participating in meetings, giving lessons, and participating in the youth group. We meet for three hours every Sunday, which may seem like a lot, but it gives us plenty of time to learn the gospel, help each other as members, and discuss ways to help people who are not members. As Mormons, we make service a big part of our lives. In my youth group, I participated in many awesome activities, such as camping trips, but the most important thing we did was service. We always looked for service opportunities in our area. We invited all who wanted to to come to our activities. I have loved growing up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Now, I'm preparing to go on a two-year mission where I will share what I know to be true with all those who desire to hear it.
