Hi I'm Jeff Simon

I have lived almost most of my life in Utah and Arizona. I am a PGA Golf Professional. I have the most beautiful wife.

About Me

I didn't realize how hard it is to talk about yourself. I come from a family of six with mom, dad, a brother and two sisters. We still all get along and get together about once or twice a year. I am the only person in the family that lives outside of Utah. I moved to Arizona for Love. My future wife Jan lived their and I had no problem leaving my career and home for her. She has been so worth it As far as I know I was just the second college graduate in the family with my mother being the first. I got my degree from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Believe it or not I worked in the field I got my degree in, journalism, for 16 years. For the last 12 years I have been a PGA Golf Professional at the Villa de Paz Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona. I am not a father, but am a grandfather to two wonderful children, a boy and a girl. I have three step-children all live nearby and all are good kids. I love all sports except soccer, love fly-fishing for trout. I watch too much TV, eat too much food. I don't play enough golf or fish enough. It's hard to find good trout fishing anywhere near Phoenix I love spending time with my wife who I care about immensely. I was a late bloomer when it came to marriage lasting until age 32. I'm glad she was still around.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church all my life. I have known it is the right way to live even as a young child although for many years I failed miserably at it. I've always had a testimony of its truthfulness and I'm still working on becoming fully converted.

How I live my faith

I'm an active participant in our ward as I currently serve as Bishop. It's the most difficult challenge I've ever accepted and yet I love it. The best part of working with youth as they grow and come to find out who they are and what they are about. Preparing them to serve missions and then watching it happen is a highlight. There's nothing better than watching people serve one another. I have had many examples in my life of how to live and it is my goal to try live up to those although I often fall short. I have a desire to do better and am working on it.
