Hi I'm Benson Whittaker Bowman

I grew up in Keller, Texas from the support of a single mother. I'm serving a mission in Rancho Cucamonga California & I'm MORMON!

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission! WHOOT WHOOT! It's by far the best decision I've ever made. My testimony is being strengthened continually. I'm so grateful for the time I've been able to spend serving my Heavenly Father. I know of His blessings, and I know there are a lot more to come! I'm thankful for the Savior, for giving of Himself so willingly. I've really enjoyed sharing what I can with others about Him, and how to be closer to Him. He helps us out even when we don't recognize it! I LOVE IT!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know its true! DUH! I grew up with a hard home life that wasn't very conducive for the Spirit to be there. It was there, but it would come and go. I remember one night when I was very scared, my parents were on the verge of divorce, and there was constant arguing. I was huddled up, trying to forget what was going on, and I remember the Spirit coming to comfort me. It was so cool! I can't really describe how it felt, or why I knew everything would eventually be okay, but I knew. A couple years went by but I remembered that night when things got hard again, and eventually, things got better. I know now that the Savior was showing His great love towards me and my family throughout everything we were going through. We were always watched over and blessed. And the Spirit was always there to testify to us of those blessings. My testimony of the Gospel has not come easy. I always thought that God would make receiving a testimony easy, but I came with a lot of struggles, doubts, and plenty of testifying! And there is still more to grow, thank goodness! One of the biggest witnesses to me that this church was true came while reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true, it has always provided me with comfort and the strength I needed to continue.

How I live my faith

No one is perfect in this life, and I know for sure that I'm not even close. But I try to live the Gospel as much as possible. As missionaries we're required to live a law higher than we ever have, I try to be as obedient as possible, and continue on the road to progression. Everyday I try to strengthen my faith, and others faith in Jesus Christ, I strive to repent, and invite others to repent also.
