Hi I'm Ben Carter

I Grew up in the Chicago area. I love making things and solving problems. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is the most important part of my life. I owe everything I have to the care and love of them, especially my parents. I have 9 siblings, 3 of which have served missions with one more about to join us in the field. I used to work for my friend's business fixing computers and installing Ethernet at small businesses. I want to take what I learned there and go into Computer Science when I'm finished with my mission in the California Santa Rosa Mission. I also want to join the Army Guard and an ROTC at either BYU or in a college in Illinois. I want to have Data as my MOS. While at home, I like to make small nick knacks out of things like wire, clay, and anything that'll do the job. I also like to make things to solve problems or just to save money. Usually things turn out ok, but out here on the mission they end up looking pretty home made.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ and have been very blessed as my family and I have followed His Gospel. The experiences that I have had have led me to believe, and as I have shown my faith and trust in the Lord, He has blessed me with understanding and comfort in times of need. I know that my Savior lives, and that He and our Heavenly Father love us. In showing that love, they reach out to us with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which can help us live better and happier lives as we follow it's teaching. God gives this Gospel to us through the words and writing of His servants the prophets. I believe without a shadow of a doubt that we will always need that guidance and God will always be willing to give it. We just have to be willing to accept and follow it. His current servant leading His church is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That is why I am a Mormon, and do my best to serve in His Kingdom on Earth.

How I live my faith

After I graduated High School, and while I prepared for my mission, I held several callings in my Ward (or local church). For a year or so I taught children in Sunday School. Then I taught a class for newly baptized or returning members of the church called Gospel Principles while holding the calling of Ward Missionary. In both circumstances I definitely learned more than my students did. It prepared me for what I do now serving as a Full Time Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
