Hi I'm Cherish

I live near the beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park. I am a mother of 8 wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always lived in a small town in Utah. I have given birth to 8 children, but have only 6 living with us in this world. My first loss of a baby boy came after a gall bladder surgery while pregnant with him. My second loss, our Cherish Hope, had a genetic defect called Edward's Syndrome, or Trisomy 18. She was with us for 3 weeks. What a blessing to have her in our life for that short time. I know we will all be together again someday. My future goals are to take more time on "Homemaking" skills. Mainly sewing and quilting. My oldest daughter is married to a wonderful young man and we have one granddaughter....soon to be adding a grandson. I want to be that Grandma who adorns her grandchildren with blankets and quilts.....So far, this has no happened. Being a mother and grandmother is what I have always wanted to be. I have loved every minute of it....even the difficult times. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love the strength it gives to me. I am so thankful for my testimony of the truths of the gospel and for my testimony. I am beyond grateful for the sacrifice of our Savior for allowing us to progress, for allowing us to be forgiven and live forever with our families. These things are what make me happy and proud to say that I am a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. As I study more about Christ and His love for us, I find I want to follow Him and become more like Him. I believe that when we pray and try to do what is right, we can be comforted and directed in the paths that will lead to happiness. I know that Christ will never lead us in the wrong direction. I know that as we read the scriptures we can find the answers to questions that we may have in our lives. I know that our Heavenly Father knows us each individually and wants us to be happy. I know he loved us so much that he allowed his son, Jesus Christ, to come here and suffer and be crucified, all for us. He did this so we could return to Him someday and be forgiven of those things that we may have done wrong in our lives. I know that Families can be forever...if we do our part and follow our Savior. I love my children and hope I have been a good example to them. I hope they will always know that our Heavenly Father listens and will never leave our side. I love the feeling I get when I attend church. I love the music and am so grateful for the calming peace it gives me when I listen to the beautiful sounds from the Hymns and other church music. I know these things to be true and I am so grateful for those wonderful examples in my life.

How I live my faith

I have had several opportunities to help and work with the youth in our area. I have loved the youth and they have ended up being an amazing example to me. I am currently able to work closely with the women in our area. I have been surprised at how much joy this has brought to me as I have been able to care for and love these women. I have also had several opportunities to coach and work with the youth outside of our church groups. I love that the youth are so respectful and kind to me as I try to help them and teach them.
