Hi I'm Ken

I am a Mormon! Not by birth or heritage but by testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior and loves us.

About Me

I grew up in a home where my mother, who was baptized while in her teens, was a member and my father, "burned out" by his mothers fanatical "rants" accepted no organized religion. While we often had lessons about the church in our home presented by missionaries, few of the teachings were regularly taught as Mom knew little of the doctrine. I attended church once in a while but with no regularity until I was in my teens and had left home. It was at this time that I began to study seriously and seek to obtain a testimony. As a young man I had all of the usual questions about life and it was finding the answers to many of these questions that started my testimony to grow. My first big step occurred as a result of an experience, about which I will tell more later, but which gave me my first recognized witness from the Holy ghost. This experience provided a greater drive to study and pray and listen.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion to the church has come line upon line, precept upon precept as I have studied the scriptures, prayed about what I have learned, asking for a witness of its truthfulness and receiving that witness. My Father in Heaven has so richly blessed me with answers to my prayers that I "know" with in my heart the truthfulness of the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or Mormons.

How I live my faith

At present my activity level is at low ebb as I am recovering from a lengthy series of health problems and the los of my beloved wife. I still continue to study, pray and listen, attending church when able and continue to try to share with others what is so precious to me, the knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves me so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for my sins that I might be forgiven and be able to return to my heavenly home.
