Hi I'm Steven Dee Rowley

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a retired high school teacher, having spent 43 years teaching in the local school district and teaching evening classes for Snow College. In addition I have worked in many different jobs during the summer. These include working for the Forest Service, Sevier County and being involved in local activities. I love to work with people and to be of help where I can. I raise a big garden during the summer and my wife and I put up fruit and vegetables for winter storage. We are the parents of 7 children and 27 grandchildren and are very pleased with the way they live and what they do in the communities where they live.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know that the principles taught by the church are true. I have read the Book of Mormon and other scriptures that we have. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that he did see the Father and the Son as he said. I am a Mormon because the organization of the church is the same as the Savior had when he was on the earth. What we believe in today is a restoration of the gospel that was lost after the apostles were killed and the keys to the priesthood where taken from the earth. I have prayed and the spirit has given me that confirmation that what we believe in is true.

How I live my faith

I strive to live by the commandments that have been given to us. I attend our church services each Sunday and participate by accepting callings within the ward and stake. I strive to be of service to those in need and to be of assistance wherever I can.
