Hi I'm Christine

I joined the church at 18. We raised six children and I have two post-graduate degrees. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am a mother of six and grand-mother of almost eight. I love the outdoors, reading, dancing, hiking and traveling. I especially love spending time with my children and grand-children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons, but primarily because I believe the basic doctrines to be true. I believe that Jesus Christ is a separate being from our Father in Heaven, yet I believe they are united in purpose. I believe strongly in Joseph Smith's experience when he saw them both and they called him by name. I have had sweet, personal experiences which have confirmed to me the truth of the above. I have found great comfort and direction from the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible, and read from both every morning. It makes sense to me to have a Prophet and Apostles on the earth today. Joining the church was the best decision I ever made.

How I live my faith

I often play the organ for our services or the piano for our choir practices. I do a lot of work with women who have special temporary needs. When new babies are born, for example, or there is illness in the home, I am in charge of organizing meals or other services for them for a week or two, depending on their needs. I love hearing, "Yes, I would be happy to help," at the other end of the phone when I am making requests for assistance.
