Hi I'm Courtney Jensen

I'm Courtney! I am a Daughter of God. I spread the gospel through my smile. I want to make a difference. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Mormon my whole life. I learn it, I live it, I love it. I have a sister on a mission in Colorado. I love to rock climb, and I love to sing! I am in highschool right now, but when I graduate I would love to go to BYU or BYU-I. I love to go out tracting and teaching with the Sister Missionaries. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know that God sent His only begotten Son to atone for our sins. I know that Jesus died for all of us. He died for me and you. Because of His sacrifice we have the process of repentance. I know that we can return to our Father in Heaven after this life if we follow him faithfully! I know that Jesus was resurrected, and because of that, we can be too. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, I know that he also restored the true church of Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that it was written for our time now, I know that it can lead and guide us through the teachings of our prophets. I know that the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Christ. I know that the Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet today, that he was called by God to be the leader of this Church. I know that the Holy Ghost is a messenger of God. I know that he comforts us in times of trouble, I know that he prompts us, and guides us. God knows each of us individually and He knows our strengths and our weaknesses. I know I am a Royal Daughter of God, and that He loves me. I know God has a plan for me and you. I know that God is hastening His work to spread the word of Christ, and to build his Kingdom here on earth. I know that he answers prayers and makes miracles. I love my Heavenly Father and His church, I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

I am a leader for my youth group. I try to live the teachings of Christ in everything I do. So that I can lead by both word and example. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Matthew 7:20.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Courtney Jensen
Have a prayer in your heart. And sincerely pray to your Heavenly Father. Ask him if this is the true church of Jesus Christ, ask him if what you are being taught is true. :) Show more Show less

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Courtney Jensen
Members who attend church will usually be wearing their "Sunday best". Members dress modestly, and tidy. Members will be well put together, groomed nicely. The reason for this is we want to be our best in the Lords home. Members of the church celebrate all holidays. We focus greatly on Christmas and Easter since they are such significant days in history. Church members also celebrate regional and national holidays of the countries they live in. Church members also celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and other events similar to that. :) Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Courtney Jensen
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Courtney Jensen
Mormons are very much Christian. Our entire faith is centered around Jesus Christ. Our Savior and our Redeemer. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ, it tells us about his divinity, and his life, and his Atonement. We are as Mormons, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We believe that Jesus atoned for our sins, that he was risen from the dead, and he walked the earth and taught the true doctrine. So yes, Mormons are Christian. :) Show more Show less
