Hi I'm Sherri Knobloch

I grew up in San Diego, California. I'm a mother of six children. I run a business with my husband. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a wife and mother of six children. Oh...and I am finally a grandma as well (it really is a great as everybody says it is!) I'm a business owner, a title that I share with my husband. I married my best friend and high school sweetheart. After 31 years of marriage, I'd still rather hang out with him, more than anyone else I know. I absolutely love road cycling, and really enjoy archery and rock climbing. I practice yoga three times a week along with weight training and an aerobic work out. I'm a big believer in taking good care of your body because you only get one and it has to last a lifetime. I cherish family time. I loved when my children were young, I love seeing them grow into adulthood. I admire the people they have become. Life is full of challenges, but of all the things I've experienced, the hardest work, the greatest rewards and the sweetest experiences have all come from being a parent!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and I honestly don't remember a time when I didn't know that God was real. And that He loved me. I remember very distinctly though, when my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel was mine for certain. I was 14 years old. I had attended a church camp for the young women. There was a testimony meeting one evening around a campfire. The truths shared that evening penetrated my heart so deeply that I knew the gospel was true. All of it! Everything I had been taught all my life! I didn't "think" or "hope" it was true, I KNEW it was true. And I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it! I still feel that way today, only more so. God lives. He is our Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ is His Son and the Savior of the World. My Savior. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is real. I know it because I've seen it work in my life, to heal, to strengthen, to cleanse. Heavenly Father wants us to have joy in this life. Living the gospel allows me to have that joy. I testify that it can be yours as well, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

In my local ward at church, I teach the Marriage and Family Relations class. Actually, my husband and I team teach this particular class. When I'm not teaching this course which runs for 4 months, I like to attend the Gospel Principles class because that's where all the people who are investigating the church, and the new members attend. All the fundamental principles of the Gospel are discussed there. I find that in this class, the presence of the spirit is detected easily because the spirit testifies of truth of these wonderful gospel principles to the investigators and new members. I always consider it a privilege to participate in experiences like this. In addition to serving in my local ward. My husband and I serve in Regional Public Affairs for the church in our area. We strive to develop good working relationships with Civic, Educational, and Religious leaders across the county. I love to attend the Temple in our area and to serve there. Above each temple at the entrance are the words "The House of the Lord...Holiness to the Lord". When we enter, we are surrounded by sacredness. It is like being invited into my Savior's house. When I am there, I am in a safe place, set apart from the world. Peaceful and sacred.
