Hi I'm H. Spencer Katoa

I'm an nonathletic nerd, I'm a bit of an orator, I'm as American as it gets, and yes I'm a Mormon serving a mission in New Zealand

About Me

I'm just a young guy from the beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. I love nerdy things, techno, music in general (Daft Punk is my soul in the form of music), girls, and so forth. Just the average young guy things, you know. One thing I guess might be unique to me is that I love reading things that deal with liberty, leadership, economics, and self development. I've gotten heavily involved in communities and community building because I love helping people improve personally, in their leadership, and their understanding of liberty and freedom.

Why I am a Mormon

I may have grown up as a Mormon, but I didn't truly believe it until I almost lost it. At a young age in my early high school years, I started questioning things. I questioned not only my religion, but the whole concept of higher beings, and an after life. Basically I was on a sure path to Atheism, because I thought I knew everything. When I was on the cusp of becoming an atheist, I experienced a very personal spiritual event. Which to be frank, put the fear of God back into my overly proud self. It humbled me by confirming to me that these things are true, and soon I started to see the logic, truth, and beauty behind everything in this gospel. I now can say without a doubt that this is the one and true church, because both the Spirit and faith endued evidence has confirmed it to me. I guess that is why I am a Mormon, and in no way is that changing.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by implementing the best way of sharing it. That is by being an example and a servant leader, just like our lord and savior Jesus Christ. For he created a following that has lasted and grown for over two thousands years because of his example. Never did he scorn, never did he judge, for he loved all no matter where they were in their life. I strive day by day to implement such ideals, and also to serve others like He did.
