Hi I'm Dylan

I smile, I laugh, I help. I was baptized at the age of 16, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I am serving a mission in Arkansas. I started my service as a missionary in December of 2013. I was planning on going to college first, but then decided to head towards serving the Lord instead. My hobbies are wakeboarding, camping, hiking, four wheeling. A lot of outdoors stuff. I am always caught with a smile, or laughing. That's just what I love to do. I was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was at the age of 16. I knew of the LDS Faith, but there was just a small problem. I wasn't a member yet! I understood a lot about the Church before I was converted, so being baptized was the next step I needed to take in my life to really understand the blessings that come with being a member.

Why I am a Mormon

Let's see. I am a Mormon because I love to be happy. This church is honestly all about happiness. If we follow what our Heavenly Father teaches, then we are going to live a happy life. I follow this Gospel because it brings so much happiness, and knowledge to us. It also helps prepare us for the worst. Whether that being suffering a family loss, or something simple like having a bad day. I've written it before in the previous boxes, but I love to say it. I was converted at the age of 16, which was at a point in my life where I really needed to find a place where I can belong to. Why I love to say this is because, I had to find out on my own what this Church is all about. I kind of already had a good knowledge about this church, but I didn't know about the happiness that came along with it. My baptism was such a spiritual moment, and if you don't know what a spiritual moment would feel like, just think of it being a really peaceful moment full of happiness and joy. I know that this Gospel is true with all of my heart, and it has taught me so many things. I am so grateful to be a member of this Gospel, and feel so privileged to be able to help spread this true happiness.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in the Little Rock, Arkansas mission. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is the main priority in my life. The gospel brings nothing but joy to me, and I love being able to share that joy with those around me. The opportunity to share the gospel is the greatest thing in the world. Everyone deserves to be apart of this wonderful gospel. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ opens so many doors for us. As stated in the Book of Mormon numerous times, as we live the gospel and keep the commandments, we prosper. I know that this is true. I know that the gospel is what can bring us true happiness, and knowledge.

Are Mormons Christians?

Dylan
We are Christians. We do not say that just because we have our saviors name in the title of our Faith. No, that's not it at all. We are Christians because we believe that Christ our Savior was sent here to this earth by our Heavenly Father. Yes, Christ chose to be sent here, he didn't do it against his free will. He was sent here to bring out this message of his Church, and to atone for our sins. We follow Christ's teachings to a T. He taught us about service, and partaking of the Sacrament. We do everything we can to be just like Christ. He was absolutely perfect. Of course, the natural man in us refuses for us to be perfect, but we try to be like him as much as we can. He loves everyone (and I mean everyone), and we love him. Show more Show less
