Hi I'm Nick

I grew up among the Amish. I enjoy the outdoors. I'm a Nintendo Fanatic. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the simple farm life. Bailing hay? Nothing beats it. On our farm we have goats and chickens. Sometimes I chase the chickens like a Rocky Balboa. I enjoy camping, paintballing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and fishing. I also consider myself a gaming enthusiast. I play a lot of retro games on consoles such as the NES, Super NES, and N64. Do they consider the GameCube to be old school? Man, I feel old. My favorite game is The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (Fallout 3 is at a close second). My life dream is, of course, to one day be with my family for all eternity with my Heavenly Father. I'd also like to learn how to play the ocarina and probably the banjo. A bluegrass band would be sweet. I love comic books and super heroes. Who's your favorite? Mine's Batman. I know, I know, everyone likes him, probably because of that Christopher Nolan guy. Oh well! I listen to Metal (Black Sabbath, Metallica, etc.) and big band/swing music (The Ink Spots and Frank Sinatra would be a good choice). Really I'll listen to anything except for rap and hip-hop/pop music. Yuck! I guess in summary, you could say that I enjoy anything fun and that's within my standards. Cool Beans!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply doing it. Faith is an action word. "He does not believe that does not live according to his belief". I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true so I do it. I try my best to serve my fellow man and follow Jesus Christ's example.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Nick
I love the Bible! It is the word of God as long as it is translated correctly, as would be he case with any book of scripture. You may wonder how the Book of Mormon fits in with all of this. A clear understanding of the true nature of a God and how the Bible came to be will help you know that God does not change and that He still speaks today, the same way He has since the creation of man. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Nick
Haha that's a good one! The answer is no. We worship our Heavenly Father and the Savior, Jesus Christ. Did the ancient Israelites worship Moses? No. Joseph Smith was a prophet, much like Moses, and he lead the church in modern days. Through him, God restored truths of the gospel that were lost and distorted over time. Fortunately, our ever-loving, unchanging God continues to call prophets today, just as He did anciently. Show more Show less
