Hi I'm Kellie

I grew up in Vermont, wandering and wondering - I felt cold until I became a Mormon which warmed my heart thoroughly!

About Me

Third daughter of parents of seven children, now I have five children of my own; moved to Utah 17 1/2 years ago, but still consider myself a Vermonster! Child of God by design, musician by ear, loving woman and mother by nature, former computer analyst by trade, and Mormon by choice.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't always a Mormon, and as a child often uttered the simple phrase, "I don't feel". I was hollow, unfulfilled, and there was no ceiling to my existence. Now that I understand the Plan of Salvation, the plan of living and of the eternities, and what the Atonement is all about, the great sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us, then living and dying make so much more sense. Ever since I entered the blanketing warmth of the waters of baptism with the accompanying comfort of the confirming membership in the church, I have known where I come from, why I'm on earth, and where I go afterwards - and I DO FEEL! I understand my existence!

How I live my faith

When I was first a member of the church, I was in a situation preventing me from attending meetings, and my only link/lifeline to the church were monthly cards and letters that two women wrote to me. I would post them on my refrigerator and refer to the lovely messages and scriptures often. Now I have the opportunity to write to those who are unable to attend meetings, and after several years of doing so, for the first time ever, I received a phone call thanking me for the words of comfort in my card, as she had just learned that her 20-year-old niece had terminal cancer - how did I know? I didn't, but God did, and I was moved upon to write the words. The more we communicate with God, the more we recognize when He communicates with us!
