Hi I'm Tanner

I was born in Utah, I call Cincinnati, Ohio home, I am serving a Mission, I am a swimmer, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an Eagle Scout. I love to ride my bike and swim. I am a lifeguard at my local pool. I am serving a Mission in the California Oakland/San Francisco Mission. I would rather be outside anytime as compared to inside. I love to rock climb and do things that push me to the edge of my limits. I also enjoy driving, driving fast. I find it relaxing, and I do not always need a destination in mind to have an excuse to go for a drive. I have grown up all over the lower 48 States here in the USA. I have lived in Ogden, UT, Las Vegas, NV, Columbus, and Cincinnati, OH. I was born in Utah, but I will always call Cincinnati, OH home because that is where I spent most of my life, from the time I was 11 years old all the way until I was almost 17. I went to two different high schools in two different states. I love people, and have always enjoyed helping people. I have always enjoyed making people feel happy and loved, whether I know them or not. I am the kind of person that will say, "You have my trust until you give me a reason not to."

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church like my father was. I have read The Book of Mormon and I have prayed about it, and I know that it is true. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith was a chosen of God and that he really did see The Father and The Son in that grove of trees as a 14 year old boy in upstate New York. I know that like in biblical times, there is a prophet on the Earth today and he speaks to God to give us guidance so that e may be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am leaving today to begin serving my Heavenly Father in the California Oakland/San Francisco Mission. (11/20/2013) I am doing this becuase of the examples set by my family, but most importantly because I have a testimony of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I look forward to sharing my testimony with those who are prepared to hear this life changing message.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormon Missionaries proselyte because we desire that all persons have the opportunity to hear the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. This message has brought us so much joy in our own lives, we desire that everybody everywhere have the chance to hear the message. It is still up to each individual to chose for themselves whether or not they want to accept the message we carry. Show more Show less
