Hi I'm Ashley Jeromchek

I'm a ballerina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a BYU student who enjoys dancing, especially ballet! But all that has been put on hold momentarily so that I may serve the Lord. I couldn't be more excited about being a missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born into the church, it was ultimately my decision on whether or not I wanted to be Mormon. My parents raised me with gospel standards, yet always let me choose my own path. I am thankful for that because it really helped me gain my own testimony. I had to find out for myself if the church was true for myself. It all started with a simple desire to know and that grew into a testimony. I know with all my whole heart that the church is true and it enriches my life daily.

How I live my faith

I participate in church activities, fulfill my callings and live the standards that have been set by the church. It's not always easy, especially in the world we live in today, yet I find the most happiness when I live by the commandments and follow the word of wisdom. The gospel truly blesses my life every second of the day. When I am able to see how much of a difference the gospel makes in my lives, that is when I have a greater appreciation for it and strive to do the right thing. I enjoy participating and living in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Ashley Jeromchek
I can feel the love of my Heavenly Father and of my Savior encircle me. I know without a doubt, that He knows who I am as an individual and loves me more than I can ever imagine. I know that He wants the best for me and when I am living my life in a righteous manner, I can feel that He is happy with me. In Doctrine and Covenants 6:20 it says, "Be faithful and diligent in keeping the commandments of God, and I will encircle thee in the arms of my love." Everything in this world is proof that there is a God; the beauty of a meadow, the brightness of stars, the love of a family. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Ashley Jeromchek
It is finding light in a dark world. It is the purest form of joy in a world full of grief and conflict. Being a Mormon is incredibly difficult. I like to compare the first chapter of Alma to being a Mormon in these times. We do face persecution because the standards that we live by do not coincide with the values the world, yet the standards are the reason I find happiness. I know that living a righteous life, a Christ-like life, will lead me back to my Heavenly Father and bring me only blessings and happiness; while sin and wickedness will only bring me sorrow and pain. Being a Mormon is wonderful because it lets me know who I am, a daughter of God, and guides me how to live my life so that after this life I can live with my father in heaven again.
