Hi I'm Naomi

I'm a wife, a Mother, an Aunt, sister and daughter. I am BC born and raised, currently living in AB, Canada. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently became a wife and a step mom to a wonderful 6 year old. I'm also a mother to an angel who I lost to miscarriage 13 years ago. I work for my local cable company and have worked in many facets of the company and I love it! Outside of work, I enjoy reading, movies, and health and fitness. I've especially been focusing on my health and fitness recently. My goal is to reach the best physical fitness I can and to become an athlete. I strive every week to push myself more and more. I've never felt better than I do now and I can't wait until I can start running marathons and do things that I've never been able to do before.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life, but I didn't always live the Gospel the best way I could. Growing up I suffered severe depression and typical teenage self worth issues. As a teenager and early adult, I went through a period of inactivity in the church. My life has been rocky, at best, but I now have a firm testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and a firm testimony in the power of prayer. I'm not perfect, of course, but my testimony can not be denied. I have been fortunate to have experiences that have taught me that we have a Heavenly Father who knows each of us and loves us and wants us to be happy and that Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer. When I was baptized at 8 years old, my father along with other men from our ward, laid their hands on my head and gave me the "Holy Ghost" and I remember at that time feeling a warmth come over me. At 14, before I started making bad decisions, I got down on my knees to ask if the Book of Mormon was true and that same feeling came over me and testified to me that it is true. Since that time, I have used that as a building block. At one point in my life, I felt the Holy Ghost leave my presence due to the decisions I was making at that time and I felt lost and alone. Since I've made changes in my life, I have seen the difference it makes having the Holy Ghost as a guide. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I testify that Jesus Christ lives and that his Atonement is very real.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and I try to live the principle's of the Gospel to the best of my ability. I fall short everyday, but I try my best to live the teachings and be a better person through those teachings. Prayer and scripture study are a big part of my life. I try to serve whenever possible and I constantly reflect on how I can be a better person and a better member of God's church.
