Hi I'm Collin Francom

Natures my doorway to adventure. Photography is my way of capturing time. And laughter is my key to survival. Im a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I was born in Logan Utah to wonderful parents whom I cherish and love. I lived in Sacramento for 6 years and now I am lucky to call Durango ColoRADo my home. Key word RAD. I lived in Durango for 8 years and am currently serving a full time mission in Jacksonville Florida. Nature for me has always been the absolute best way to find joy, and consequently I raced 7 years of competitive XC mountain biking, 3 years of Varsity Track and Field, and 3 years of Varsity Cross Country. I raced XC mountain biking at three national championships and Biking has and always will be a passion. A hobby that I love and would enjoy pursuing is Photography, and I feel that it captures moments of pure joy, love, and time itself. I am a very deep writer and have always found myself pondering life as I stare at the stars. Last of all I love to have fun, and I can honestly say that laughing is essential to survival. Spontaneous adventures. Seeing the best and the worst in each other. And laughing are what create eternal memories. I am proud to be a Mormon and I know that my Heavenly Father loves me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because its what I want to be. I have a strong testimony of this church and I am not afraid to talk about my religion, because I am proud of it. I have dared to stand alone in many situations and I have dared myself to be different than everyone around me. I am proud to be a mormon because I have a love for my Heavenly Father that is indescribable. I am a Mormon because I know that its the true church on the Earth, and that no matter what others say around me, I can look in the mirror every morning and see myself a mormon. Its what I want to be.

How I live my faith

Living is what we do every second of everyday. My purpose, our purpose, is to live life and change as we become more like our Savior Jesus Christ. I live my faith by living life in a way that causes me to change, for change itself is the affect of the atonement in my life. Everyday I am faced with decisions, and everyday things happen the way they do for a reason. I live my faith by recognizing that every time I fall down, make a mistake, or lose hope, that Christ is extending his hand and will help me stand up a little taller. I live my faith by undeniably and unconditionally loving my Savior and everyday recognizing his hand in all things. I strive to "stand as a witness of God at all times, and in all things, and in all places" and I know that my Heavenly Father has a greater plan than I have for myself. I live my faith by smiling, making eternal memories of pure joy, giving to those in need, and recognizing that my father in Heaven has given me so much. My life is one that I cherish, and I live my faith by building my knowledge of this gospel, keeping the commandments, sustaining our beloved Prophet, and repenting when I fall down and give in to the natural man. The atonement is for all of us, and like I said in the beginning, our purpose is to live life and change to become more like Christ. For if we are not changing, we are not moving forward in His glorious plan of Happiness.
