Hi I'm Mariah

I love God, my family, reading, and traveling. I'm half Puerto Rican; I have red hair and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore in college and I'm preparing to serve and LDS mission in Mexico City. I'm an avid reader and enjoy good music. I love to travel and have been to 10 countries and 25 states. Meeting new people and being enriched in different cultures is important to me and is something I love doing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church and I have seen first hand the blessings that come from God. I have seen his tender mercies throughout my life and I'm Mormon because I know God is there and I know this Gospel is true. This gospel makes me a better person and a happy person. By serving others, I am also serving the Lord. I can feel God's love for me and I know that through the Atonement, I can repent and be forgiven of my sins. It is through God's grace and mercy that I can return to him someday. And I want to live each day having the Spirit with me and being worthy to return to His kingdom.

How I live my faith

I was involved with the Young Single Adults and would help plan activities to do together. Currently, I attend institute and I'm trying to prepare myself for an LDS mission.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a prophet who restored the church to the earth. Through Joseph's faith and humility, he said a prayer. God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to him on earth and answered his humble prayer; this became his first vision. Joseph became a latter-day prophet and through God, translated the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
