Hi I'm Kira

I'm an Okie. I married my best friend and I love books, crafting, thunderstorms and plants. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a blonde Oklahoma girl who married a wonderful Arizona boy. My husband and I were married in the Mesa, Arizona Mormon temple by my grandfather. We have been married for almost 2 and 1/2 years and they have been a blast! I love to read fantasy and sci fi books and I am always trying to create different crafting ideas I found on Pinterest. I know American Sign Language and I've found that I enjoy martial arts like Tai Chi and Brazilian Jiujitsu. I graduated from college with a degree in landscape management and a minor in business. and I love designing landscapes for people as well as florist work doing wedding flowers.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my family very much. They are everything to me. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) we believe that families can be together for eternity. When I was a teenager, I was reading "The Last Battle" by C.S. Lewis and I was on the last chapter of the book. in that chapter, the children in the story have died and as they progress further into the new world they have gone to, they keep meeting all of the friends and all of the people that they met in their adventures into Narnia. In addition to their friends, they are with their family and the book ends with them being together forever. I knew then that I wanted that for me and my family and my future family. That we can be together with our families and the wonderful people we meet here on Earth for forever. That is the moment I knew the church was true and I gained a testimony. Everything else is based on that knowledge that families can be together. It has changed my perspective from a here and now to an eternal perspective. Things that are done here continue on. They don't stop when we die. Earth is just a point in the eternal timeline of God and there is something for us after this.

How I live my faith

Right now I serve in a children's class for children aged 18 months to 3 years. We play a lot and learn the stories of Jesus Christ and the other prophets. We sing songs, eat goldfish crackers and just have a great time together on Sundays. Outside of church, I try and be happy and friendly to any person that I meet.
