Hi I'm Chloe Gilmour

I'm from Utah, a health fanatic, & am serving a full-time mission in Switzerland

About Me

I am the oldest of 5 girls, and what a party that is! I am an outdoors fanatic and I love nature. My health and my fitness play a huge role in my life and I hope to travel the world, getting to know different cultures and the role that food and health play in our spiritual lives. I am a hard working, passionate, and diligent girl, and have high hopes for my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because I know the Church is true! I see the blessings that the knowledge I have through the Church brings me. Being a Mormon doesn't mean just having the nickname "Mormon". It means that we are faithful members of the Church, who love the Saviour and strive to be more like Him every day. I am a Mormon because the Saviour leads and guides this Church in these days, and because He is my everything, I want to become more like Him. It is through the pirnciples of the Gospel that we learn these things, which can be found in the Bible. I know that God loves me and knows me by name, and because He loves me, He always wants to give me more. That is why He has given me the Book of Mormon. In this Book, His whole plan of happiness is explained, and through modern day revelation, we know that He wants to tell us more. I have found great strength in the Book of Mormon, and I renew my testimony of it each morning when I study it. I am a Mormon because this is His Church, and because I love my Saviour, I will do whatever it is that He tells me is right. The teachings of His Church make me a better person, and they help me want to progress, and never stand still.

How I live my faith

Having grown up in the Church and being a member my whole life, I got into the habit of doing things because I had always done them; I went through the motions. As I have grown up, served a mission, and have interacted with people from all over the world, I have come to see that my testimony is really what makes me different. As a missionary, we are always sharing our testimonies, but as a normal person, I have come to see that it is through our actions and the lives that we live that show those how we live our faith. I live my faith by doing all those things we are asked to do as members of the Church, and I do them because I love it! Not because I have to, or because someone told me to, but because I've seen how the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through the Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has blessed my life. I have seen that it is through the teachings of the Church that I can show what I believe.
