Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a college student. I'm a pole vaulter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing anything active and have always been into sports. My favorites are pole vault (which I now do in college), soccer, and cross-country skiing. I am attending college and getting my undergrad so that I can eventually get my master's in occupational therapy. I have four sisters and I love spending time with them. I love hanging out with my roommates and friends, playing guitar and piano, hiking, swimming, and running. Most of all, I love being a Mormon :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon through and through and I absolutely love it. Through this church I have grown closer to God, who is my heavenly father and the Savior. As I have lived by the teachings in the Book of Mormon and Bible, I have formed a very real and personal relationship with God. I know that God loves me. I know that I am His beloved daughter. I know that he listens when I pray and that he really cares. We are on the earth so that we can grow and become better people. Although life can be really hard, I find comfort knowing that God loves me and that I am never alone. Through living the gospel I have become a better sister, daughter, student, worker, athlete, and friend. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings me so much joy and purpose. It has shaped me into the person I am today and makes me always want to become better. I love the Savior, I love my family, I love my friends, and I love being a Mormon. I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God, that there is a prophet on the earth today to guide and direct us and that God loves each and every one of His children.

How I live my faith

At church I prepare lessons every other week and teach my peers on Sundays (a class size of about 30 people). I prepare by studying the Bible and Book of Mormon and words from our leaders and prophet. I also visit 4 girls monthly to check up on them, be their friend, and see if I can help them with anything. I am also visited by women in my church. It's a comfort to know that someone is always there for me. I love going to a local nursing home and talking with the residents.
