Hi I'm Marie

I'm a sport fanatic, sister, aunt, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports and anything active. I am scared of heights, but push myself to get past that by rock climbing, skydiving, and anything that pushes me to my limit. I am going to school, but didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up until just now. I love my family and spend as much time with them as I can. We do everything adventurous together. We are beyond competitive and always have been. I guess that is why I turn everything into a competition.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has helped me find answers to the questions in life. I will admit I didn't always go to church, read my scriptures, or pray. I will admit that I wasn't always happy either, and didn't understand why. Thankfully I had friends and family that helped me understand the importance of church and praying. Little by little I came back to church and decided to find out for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church. I would read my scriptures, ask questions, but mostly importantly I would pray to know what was true. I listened after praying and found out for myself that the church is true. I know that the prophets of the church truly talk to God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on the Earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was also a true prophet. I know that Joseph translated the Book of Mormon and restored the true church back to the Earth. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the church in my life. I am thankful that the church gives me guidance in my everyday life. I am thankful for the knowledge the church gives. I know without the church in my life I wouldn't be nearly as happy as I am today.

How I live my faith

Before becoming a missionary for the church, I served with a few other callings. My favorite was working with the youth in the church. I went the camp with the young women of the church. I was a leader that would help teach the girls values and how to use them in their everyday lives. Some of the values I taught them were knowledge, choice & accountability, integrity, faith, individual worth, good works, and virtue.
