Hi I'm Emilee Engelbrecht

I grew up in California, I love the outdoors and Les Miserables and adore my horse, Coby. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church. I have thirteen people in my family and I am child number nine out of eleven. I have lived in the same home all my life and am now getting ready to move to Idaho for college at BYU-I. I'm planning on serving a mission as soon as I can when I turn 19. After that I want to study and become a psychologist helping and healing people. I love to read and have read hundreds of books. Traveling and exploring the world Heavenly Father has given is important to me. Yellowstone and Yosemite are my favorite places in the world. And, I absolutely love my horse Coby.

Why I am a Mormon

The knowledge that I have of Christ and His life is the most important thing to me. My parents taught me growing up of the life that He lived and the example He set. The feeling of overwhelming love and goodness I would feel just by thinking of Christ has turned into a testimony that is undeniable and unshakable. I absolutely adore my brother, Jesus Christ. I always have Him, and can always lean on Him. He is my best friend. Because of Him I am never alone. He and Heavenly Father are always with me when I am doing as they would have me do. When I have that knowledge, I have everything.

How I live my faith

My faith is lived as I try to be a friend, and show love to others like Heavenly Father has shown to me. Being an example and reflecting the kindness, gentleness, love and understanding that God and Christ has so freely and gladly blessed us with will be the greatest contribution we can make to this world. "Live in such a way that people who know you but don’t know Christ will want to know Christ because they know you." Bishop H.David Burton, Ensign, May 1994.
