Hi I'm Connie

Born in California, raised, married, lived in Utah with one husband, 6 children and 17 grandkids who are all Mormons.

About Me

Woman of many interests and occupations. I worked in libraries, AT&T, small office secretary, fabric store management and food demonstration. My hobbies include sewing and quilting, gardening and chickens, beading and jewelry making, ceramic arts, writing fiction and poetry and reading. My formal education was in home making education, my informal education came from books and classes and mostly self taught. I never consider a lack of education as a handicap and love to try something new.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the main focus of my life. I know there is a God in Heaven and He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ to earth to teach us the purpose of life and salvation. He is the example that I follow in my life. I love Him, I wish to serve Him, and I follow His commandments. I have felt His spirit as I listen to the teachings from the scriptures and as I read them myself. They are a guide to my life. I receive answers to my prayers and concerns. When I falter I know He will forgive me and lift me because I am a Child of God and I am loved.

How I live my faith

I live with a faith in Jesus Christ and am willing to serve wherever I am needed. I have worked with nursery age, primary age, teens and women as a leader, a teacher, a quilting specialist and a womens activity committee member. Now I serve as a Cub Scout leader and committee chair. I have been a visiting teacher for over 40 years, visiting and serving the women in my church. I worked in the schools as a room mother and also as traffic safety person at the beginning and end of school while my children were in elementary school.
