Hi I'm Megan Boynton

I'm an explorer. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I call myself an explorer because I love to try new things. If something seems worth while, even if it is hard, I'm up for it. I have heard on occasion that there is always a new day, but I like to think that there are even new minutes, or even seconds. If I mess up (which I often do) I like to remember that I'm a work in progress, and keep trying. This is why I love the message of Jesus Christ. He is the reason I have new minutes and seconds, and also the reason that those minutes and seconds can be game changers. Because of Jesus, I am not ever stuck. He makes change and progress not only possible, but required. I love to learn new things and challenge myself to test the boundaries of who I am so that I can become something more! One of my more recent of these explorations, was my decision to come to Arizona after I graduated college. I was invited to stay with my brothers family for a while so that I could figure out what I was going to do here. I didn't know any of the specifics of what my life would entail once I arrived, but I had so many ideas, hopes, and dreams from becoming a personal trainer to getting a masters degree. I ended up meeting my husband on a blind date the second week I was in Arizona and we now have a beautiful baby girl. Now that I am a mother I feel like exploring is what I do day in and day out. I learn about my baby and myself and I pray that I will be able to give her what she needs in this life. Most of all I love the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for many reasons. One because I was born into an LDS family. I have ancestors that came over to America from Europe because they joined the church and wanted to be closer to other members. The main reason why I am and always will be a Latter-day Saint is because of the Holy Spirit. I felt from a very young age the peace and happiness that came from living the gospel and cannot deny the feelings from the spirit confirming the truth of what I was learning at church and other activities. I have felt the power of the Book of Mormon in my life. It is true. It is the word of God and has been a wonderful blessing in my life. It has helped me to feel the Saviors love for me and has made my desire to keep his commandments increase. I know that God has called Prophets again upon the earth. Joseph Smith was the first prophet called after the death of Jesus and since then there has and always will be a prophet for us to follow until Christ comes again. When I pray the Spirit always confirms these things are true and leads me to continue in my faith.

How I live my faith

I do go to church weekly, but more than that, I try and think about Jesus often throughout the day and do what he would want me to do. I try to pray and read my scriptures daily, alone, and with my husband. Every time I am given an opportunity to help someone, if it's possible at all, I try and do it because I know the Savior would want me to. I try my best to keep his commandments and "feed his sheep". I'm living for that day I meet him again. The key word in all of this is TRY. I know that the Lord loves all of his children and that his hope is that we never stop trying to do what is right so that we can live with him again.
