Hi I'm Joseph

I study Molecular and Cellular Biology and do cancer research. I lived in Argentina for two years as a missionaray. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a student at the local university I have the opportunity to work with a professor doing cancer research. I work with a form of breast cancer and I work to develop new drug therapies so that this cancer does not metastasize or spread to other parts of the body. This form of treatment should increase the survival rates in the form of breast cancer that I study. I also enjoy hiking and spending time enjoying the wonderful world that our Father in Heaven has given us. I also enjoy taking road trips and spending time traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my entire life. Though I was raised in the church I had to work to come to the knowledge of the truthfulness of this Gospel. As I have grown in the Church I have come to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he loves me and wants me to be able to live with him and my family. I know that if I continue to live the Gospel I can live with my family and my future spouse forever.

How I live my faith

I work hard to live our faith by participating in the local ward that I pertain to. As a single adult I attend church with other unmarried people near my age. As a collective group we work to make the church function in our area. My calling and the president of the Sunday School organization requires that I coordinate and supervise the teaching that goes on in my ward. I help the teachers to better teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that everyone is edified and uplifted each and every week. In our area the Members have the opportunity to help the local food bank to repackage food, from large backs into smaller one pound bags, for those who are in need.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Missionaries are encouraged to save and pay for their mission out of their own pocket. No missionary of the church is paid to be there. Some may require the support of family and in some cases friends. In my own case my parents took the opportunity to pay for my mission, for which I am very grateful. Regardless of the cost, no person is discouraged to serve a mission because of the cost. Show more Show less
