Hi I'm Jon

I am a pediatric orthopedic/spine surgeon. I have 7 children, 16 grandchildren. I love to cycle and I'm a mormon

About Me

I am a father and grandfather, married for 38 years. Family, church service and my profession are the 3 pillars of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and was raised by good faithful parents who set a good example for me. What a great start I had in life. Despite the great upbringing I had, I had to discover the truth of the Gospel for myself. My missionary service as 19 year old was key to this discovery process. I had to know for myself , as much as I loved and respected my parents. As Abraham Lincoln once said " you have to do your own growing, no matter how tall your father was" I know the gospel and church are true because of the blessings I now enjoy after a lifetime of trying to live the gospel as best I can. I am far from perfect but recognize that obedience to revealed truth brings blessings that accumulate over time, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the blessings that are mine. These evidences in my life are the strongest testimony of the truth of this religion.

How I live my faith

I have been serving the Young Men (14-18) of our stake for 8 years. I love my service in the church. I am constantly blessed by the association I have with other great men as I see their dedication. I can see the strength of the young men. I am constantly amazed at the good lives they lead despite the evils of society that seem to surround them.
