Hi I'm Jason

I was born in Utah. I Traveled many states to arrive in a Podiatry practice in Wyoming; loving life! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 3 daughters between the ages of 11 and 18. I am married to Laura (also from UT) for 19 years and we have spent at least half of our married life traveling around the states to complete my education as a foot & ankle surgeon (Podiatric surgery). I now practice in Wyoming and have been in practice about 8 years and I love helping people walk and run better I also take a very active part in helping the youth in our church with their weekly activities and teaching them what I can. I love music and spend much of my free time playing guitar and singing; I take to the stage on occasion in our local vicinity for fun. I also love the mountains and the outdoors in every season.

Why I am a Mormon

I am LDS because I firmly believe that the Lord has given us many truths to help us in being happy. I have studied the scriptures and found these truths to be valid by living the principles taught and praying to our Heavenly Father for spiritual light and confirmation that they are true. The Lord's spirit has touched my heart too many times to count while in such an attitude of prayer to whisper to my heart that this Gospel is real and that it has been restored to the earth. I, like many, was confused about religion as a youth and so began studying all scriptures and praying to ask for answers. I know my prayers were answered as I felt a warm and powerful feeling while watching the story of the Restoration months later. I soon served a mission a few years later to proclaim my beliefs and help others understand the Gospel. By following these beliefs, I have seen countless blessings and joy come to me, my family and other converts. I will strongly encourage anyone to give it a chance and watch the blessings expand!

How I live my faith

I am a counselor in the Bishopric of our ward and spend time each week helping members and youth in various capacities. I enjoy teaching when I get the opportunity and strive to live my life the best I can according to the standards I learn in the scriptures. I am not perfect, but I believe strongly that we should treat others as the Lord would want us to; Always asking what we would have someone do to us. That is how we should treat others on a daily basis.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

A general falling away happened after the death of Christ's Apostles. This is the great Apostasy. Because the leaders of the primitive church were taken away, so went the authority or priesthood of the Lord's church. It was necessary for the organization and the Priesthood of the church to be placed back on the earth in the right time when religious freedom prevailed. Hence, Joseph Smith's First Vision began the chain of events that restored Christ's Church to mankind and has continued since then with the proper authority given by the "laying on of hands." He continues to guide his church through apostles and prophets as he did before within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This ministry is directed to every man and person through out the world and is not limited to just the general membership of the Church. The Lord desires that all his children receive His word through his servants, the prophets (Amos 3:7). The Apostle Peter prophesied of the “restitution of all things” before Christ’s Second Coming (Acts 3:19-21). Having been lost because of the Apostasy, Christ’s Church and His authority were to be restored to the earth. This Restoration would make available the opportunity for all to receive once again all of the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the fulfilling of prophecy in the "Last Days." We are all invited to come unto Him and receive all the blessings from His organization that he offers us in this life and in the next. Show more Show less
