Hi I'm Peyton

I grew up in Georgia. I'm a college athlete. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Well, for starters, my name is Peyton. As mentioned in my, 'short and sweet' mini bio above, I live in Georgia and am a college athlete playing division two varsity lacrosse. I love to read; I've read everything from Harry Potter to Crime and Punishment to The Quiet Room. Books have always been my thing, along with lacrosse. I also tinker with the Ukulele, flute, and Spanish guitar. In my life, i've moved around once or twice but I have attended The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since the day I was born. No matter where I went I was lucky to have at least one or two people I knew from my Sunday school class. Now as I travel into the new world of college I know I will also have that firm friend foundation traveling to another new place.

Why I am a Mormon

As I mentioned previously, I attend the activities my church provides for me. It's not a rule, it's not a requirement. I make that CHOICE. I make that choice because in those places I feel accepted; I feel accepted that I believe in the restored gospel and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on this earth. We have a great time and share our lives, and be teenagers, a teenager who is blessed to have such a great support and friend system. I testify also in the power of prayer, in a time of need I was feeling my lowest I've prayed and received the answer that my Heavenly Father is listening and I am not alone. When I'm approached my a threat whether physically or spiritually, I have the Holy Ghost guiding me through my trials, leading me in the right path. The path that will lead me home with my family for time and all eternity in the Celestial Kingdom of Heaven. I believe that the Book of Mormon in the word of God, I believe in it's teachings. I also believe that Jesus is my Savior and the power of the Atonement is real, and with it I can enjoy the blessings of salvation.

How I live my faith

As a youth, and now, young adult, I have participated in many of the activities the church hosts weekly, sometimes even daily. I attended every Wednesday a night at church which would include anything from studying the gospel, ice cream parties, bowling, or a night of service for our community. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to clean up a historic Catholic church, groom a blind man's yard, sing Christmas carols to the elderly, even make blankets with strangers for a battered Women and Children's shelter. I live my faith by attending these activities and surrounding myself with positive people, on Sundays and throughout my everyday life.
