Hi I'm Cal Simmons

I am a CPA, and I love my wife, Cyndy, who is from Michigan. I grew up in Boise. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five and a grandfather of twelve. I am a CPA and manager by profession. I love to run along the trails in the mountains above our home. I also love to sing and recently retired from singing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for nine years. My wife was raised in Michigan, and we are best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I received a strong testimony through the spirit of God as I prayed about this church when I was 19 years old. My Heavenly Father told me through the whisperings of the spirit that this gospel was true and that I should be a faithful member of His church. I continue to search the scriptures daily, pray to God, and try to keep all of God's commandments. As I do, my testimony grows.

How I live my faith

My church calling for the last nine years was singing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. We are not paid for this service. It was an absolutely fabulous experience. I also am an auditor for my church of several of our congregations. I try to be a good citizen by treating my neighbors kindly, helping them when they need help, and by being honest in all my dealings. Now that I am out of the Choir, I am hoping for another calling in my church so that I can keep serving. I receive a lot of joy in serving my fellow beings. I know that as I do, I am serving my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ.
