Hi I'm Jessica

I'm working to become a legal advocate for children. I love reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student here in Utah and I'm working towards my Bachelor's of Communications degree. I hope to get into law school and become a legal advocate for children. When I'm not doing on homework, I'm usually reading mystery novels. I love ballroom dance, even though I'm not very good at it. And I'm in the process of teaching myself how to play the ukulele. I love making treats, like brownies and cookies, and sharing them with roommates and friends. And most of all I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

It's hard for me to express how much this church means to me. But I know that I could not live without it. Being a Mormon has blessed my life in so many ways. I know that God loves me and that He has a plan for me. I know that God hears and answers my prayers. But the most important thing about this gospel is the Plan of Salvation. God sent us to this Earth to be tried and tested. And it is through Christ's Atonement that we are able to repent of our mistakes and one day return to live with our Heavenly Father. This gospel teaches me that one day I will be reunited with my family in Heaven. I know that life continues after death. When my aunt passed away last year, I was devastated. But I know that this is not the end. I will be able to see her again someday. It breaks my heart to think of all the people in this world who have lost a loved one, and that they do not have a knowledge of this church. They don't know that there is still hope and that relationships can last beyond the grave. I am a Mormon because I believe in these principles. They give me something to hold on to and something to strive for.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing things that help me feel closer to God. I pray every day. I study the scriptures. I attend church on Sundays. But I think the most important thing is to be a light in a world of darkness. I serve people around me, by listening to their worries and by being there to comfort them. I smile at people I pass in the school hallways. I let my family know how much I love them and how much they mean to me. I live my faith by following Christ's example.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jessica
Mormons are Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ and we believe that He atoned for our sins. We believe that He was killed on the cross and that He rose from the dead. We try to follow His example as we serve others. Our religion is centered on Christ and the things He taught. Show more Show less
