Hi I'm Brett

I am serving a mission in Sydney, Australia. I am from Utah, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am newly graduated high school student, and I am preparing to go on a mission. I have one brother and three sisters. I fall fourth in a line of five children. Two of my older siblings have or currently are serving missions, one in Sierra Leone, Africa and the other in the Philippines . I plan to attend Brigham Young University upon my return from my mission where I hope to kick start my education and career. That's the scoop on me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon and have always been a Mormon. But that is hardly the reason I live and follow the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and it would be impossible for me to say all the reasons I live and follow its teachings. No, rather I live what the church teaches to feel close to my Savior and feel the love that radiates from that special relationship. I live what the church teaches and continue to follow the gospel because I know that it is true and I know that by following it I can and will receive blessings untold, so much that I cannot receive them. I live this gospel so I can feel some measure of peace in a world that seems bent on the destruction of peace. In short, I live this gospel because I love it.

How I live my faith

I participate in my community by actively participating in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I find that through this affiliation it is quite easy to become involved in my community. It becomes part of life to lift and build those around you through living what the church teaches. From home teaching, service projects, or even simple acts of loving service in the home, the LDS church is a help meet in all.
