Hi I'm Spencer

I grew up in Utah, a member of the Church my whole life. I know this is the true church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love everything to do with the outdoors. I spend as much time possible outside, and I love being in the mountains. I currently am preparing to serve an LDS mission in Canada. I also love everything to do with music. Be it singing, playing instruments, or just enjoying good uplifting music, I love it all. Another favorite pastime of mine is spending time with all of my family. I have a great home and family unit to support me, and I love every minute I get to be with them.

Why I am a Mormon

At 8 years old when I was baptised an official member of this church, and I felt a special feeling when that happened. I didn't know it at the time, but that was the spirit telling me that I was truly following Christ's example and commandments. I know that this was my answer because of the Scripture in Galatians 5:22- 23, which says you will feel peace and joy. As I grew older I wanted to find if God was truly there, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the church with Gods authority. There is a promise made in the Book of Mormon, that if you pray and ask God you can know that it is true. So, after reading the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time at 12, I prayed to my God and asked Him. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, because I felt just like I did at my baptism. It has provided me so much guidance in my life today. Without a knowledge of this truth in my life, I would not be happy, and at peace as I am. It is the only way to feel a sense of true security in this steadily declining world we are living in. I know that you will find Happiness as you follow Christ's true teachings, and his gospel which he has given to us through the Book of Mormon. Don't take my word for it, find the truth out for yourself today.

How I live my faith

I have served in several capacities of leadership during my years as a member of this church. I have been president of two quorums, and since I was 12 I've had the responsibility of teaching a family in our ward with a companion (generally my Father.) This, as well as attending church regularly and showing my desire to follow Christs example through service. I am currently serving a volunteer mission for 2 years in the Canada Winnipeg Mission.Which includes all of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, the Western part of Ontario, and a Sliver of Minnesota. I have given all of my life and time to serving the Lord and doing as he asks. I share His gospel and teachings with everyone I can, and I serve my fellow man. This has required that I leave behind many things, such as: T.V. , Friends, all academic pursuits, and my family. I am so thankful that I have this opportunity to do so, and to do as Jesus Christ did while he was on the earth.
