Hi I'm Carl Howald

I love to play basketball. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobby is basketball. I could play basketball all the time. Even though I love to play, I never tried out for my high school team. Mostly because I didn't want to be competitive, I just love the game, not winning the game. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. I'm a very social person and love to meet new people. I worked at a movie theater for about fourteen months. Something that I love more than basketball is the Gospel of Christ. I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for calling me to serve as one of his missionaries. I love my family. I love my Heavenly Father. I love my Savior. And I am so happy to be loved by him. Enough love to suffer and die for me. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that belongs to the church and I have parents who love the church and do all that they can to teach me and my younger brothers about it. I have been able to receive my own testimony and my own personal conversion to the church in my teenage years. I have grown through the church and continue to learn and to be stronger in my faith and obedience. I have been serving as a missionary for a little while now and through this incredible opportunity, I have not only been able to grow as a young man, but I have also grown spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Being a missionary is the most rewarding thing that I have ever done in my life and I will never doubt the church. I have received a personal answer from the Spirit that has testified to me about the Book of Mormon. I know with all of my heart, mind, and soul that that book is the most inspirational, and uplifting book in the world. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore the church and that the current prophet, Thomas S. Monson is also called of God. I know that this church is true and nothing can make me believe otherwise.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by the way I act. I love the church so very much and I do my best to follow the standards because when I do what I believe is right, I feel good. It has been such a blessing to be part of the church. I am currently serving as a missionary in the church in the Louisiana, Baton Rouge Mission. My faith has never been stronger before in my life and it continues to grow. Faith is nothing without action and action always leads to results. In my mission, when I have acted on my faith, I have seen amazing things happen. People feel the Spirit testify to their hearts, they have desires to serve the church and they will have the opportunity to strengthen their own faith and that is what is so rewarding about being a missionary. Bringing the incredible message of the Restoration into the lives of individuals brings the most amazing feeling into my life. I love being a missionary and I will continue to live my faith every day of my life.
