Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in North Carolina and grew up in Rocky Mount. I like coaching kids in soccer and basketball and baseball. I love white water rafting, weight lifting and my beautiful wife. Being retired is the best way to live and everyone should try it!

Why I am a Mormon

I want the reader of this message to know that in 1973 The Book of Mormon was handed to me by my best friend with a simple statement of: “If you really want to know what is going on out there, read this book.” He went on to say that I needed to read the book from cover to cover, pray about it when I finished reading it, and then told me that the Holy Ghost would then let me know that the Book of Mormon is about, or not about, the truth path of life that we are on from before we were born on this Earth, why we are on this Earth, and on to the Eternity beyond Earth life. I was 24 years old at the time, married with one son and a daughter on the way. As he instructed, I read the book over a 4 month period, reading about 20 hours a week, prayed about it and was blessed with a testimony (absolute knowledge) that is beyond faith. I was blessed with the absolute certainty that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only 100% true church on earth and is the only true church of Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the Bible and other scriptures and praying to God everyday. I have read the Bible cover to cover twice. I try to share my testimony with those around me. Ever since the day I joined the church I have continued strong in the faith.
