Hi I'm Matthew Halterman

I was born in England, grew up in Minnesota, and go to school in Utah. I play piano, organ, and bell tower and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved around a lot as a kid. I've lived in England, Georgia, Texas, New Jersey, Minnesota, Utah, and Connecticut. I am 18 years old and I am serving a mission starting in June 2017 going to Milan, Italy. I am beyond excited. I don't know what I want to major in but I love music, politics, economics, and history. Each week I go to church, for the past few years serving in musical positions, as choir director and organist. I love to participate in sung prayers to our Heavenly Father that uplift, inspire, and encourage. As each person contributes, whether with a polished voice or a voice that is more rough around the edges, each is considered an adequate offering and it turns into something more. That is something I have seen in my own life. As I have given of what I have, my time and my free will, the Lord receives it and makes me into something beyond my own capabilities.

Why I am a Mormon

No one can logically prove a testimony. I had to get my own. I had to read the Book of Mormon, and pray about it, and through that process I know it is true. Because I know it's true I try to live my life like the Savior would but that by no means I am perfect... I know that through the atonement I can become perfected and my weaknesses can be taken away. I am Mormon because I can feel my Savior's love; I am a Mormon because I know that through his atonement I can receive a fullness of joy.

How I live my faith

I make an effort to obey the commandments the Lord has given me. The
