Hi I'm Teal

I have a love of traveling! I have lived in China and Hawaii in the last year. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Hawaii. I am studying Marine Biology. I hope to become a dolphin trainer after graduation. I enjoy swimming, scuba diving, reading, painting, hiking, rock climbing, and being with my family and friends. I recently received my mission call to the Japan Tokyo South mission! I leave September 18th!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but that does not mean I have always wanted to be one! Church was the worst thing ever when I was a kid, I had a hard time sitting still! It wasn't any better as a teenager, in fact it was worse! I had a hard time making friends in my ward and I was not a fan of Young Womens. My testimony came much later that it should have. The church has always been surrounding me and my parents raised me to follow the standards of the LDS church. While I was attending BYU-H, I had to take a Book of Mormon class (I was not pleased about this at the time). This class changed my life. My teacher was fantastic! The way he taught the principles of the Book of Mormon came to life and he strengthened my testimony. One lesson he said "When the Second Coming happens there will only be two sides. Satans or Christs. You know which side you want to be on, and you know which path you are headed down right now. Make the decision now that you want to be on the Lord's side." And just like that it struck me that the choices I was making were not leading me to the Lord's side. I changed (still am changing!) my ways, and started the repentance process. The blessing I have received are immense and powerful. I can feel my Savior's love each and every day. So if, in the end, this church turns out to not be true (which it won't, but just say it did) I know that Lord will be pleased with the way I have lived my life because I am doing the things that help me to be like him.

How I live my faith

I am a CTR 5 Primary teacher. I love my students, even if they are a handful. I also attend Mission prep classes once a month, and I am a visiting teacher.
