Hi I'm Lauren

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from the hot, dry desert of Southern Utah. I have five handsome brothers and one cute sister-- my family means everything to me. Whether we are sitting through hours of soccer games, jamming to the Beatles while making breakfast, or discovering new places to hike, we love being together. I am a college student majoring in Early Childhood Education. I love being outside, traveling to new places, playing the piano, being an aunt and eating vanilla ice cream.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because in this church I have found the answer to every question I could possibly face in this life-- that answer, to me, is Jesus Christ. I know that this is His gospel. I know that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father. I know that He loves me and knows me perfectly. I know that I can pray to Him, and that He will literally hear me and answer me. I know that Heavenly Father sent His perfect Son, Jesus Christ, to live and to die for me. I make mistakes, face trials, and fall short every single day, but I know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I can be made clean and be raised up from this mediocre life I live. Because my Savior has made all of the difference, I can be so much more with Him than I ever could be by myself. I know that the gospel in its fullness was restored through the prophet, Joseph Smith. I also know that the prophet Joseph Smith, through the power of God, translated the Book of Mormon-- a book that I know is true with all of my heart. I also know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet on the earth today, and that he receives revelation directly from our Heavenly Father. The gospel has blessed every single part of my life. Through it, I know that families can be together forever, even after death. That knowledge brings me so much comfort. The gospel means everything to me; I know with all of my heart that it is true.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by the small and simple tasks of everyday. Although I am not perfect, I strive to serve those around me by being a friend, a cheerful face, and by using kind words. I try to read the Book of Mormon every day--it fill my days with light and direction from my loving Heavenly Father. I also find strength in praying to my Heavenly Father each day; in a world that is uncertain and a little crazy sometimes, I know that I can find certainty and comfort in being able to pray to Him.
