Hi I'm Kristin

I am a young college student who loves serving, family time and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a small town where everyone is a big family. I have an older sister who is married with three little boys. I have a little brother who is my best friend. When I was 20 I moved to a larger city and went to college for about 3 years. I got my associates degree in Art and Visual Communications. I also work at a computer technical support company where I do software orientations and customer service. At 22 I moved back to the small town family to prepare to serve a Full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. :) I love art, spending time with family and learning more about the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at age 8. My family was still fairly new to the church, but had fully accepted the gospel. My parents both came from rough backgrounds and the both made incredible changes in their life when the accepted the gospel. This is only where my conversion story begins. I have always known the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be the true and perhaps I took that for granted. I knew it was true sort of like a fact or common knowledge, kind of like the fact that there are 5280 ft in a mile. That didn't change until I turned 22 and felt like I needed to serve as a full-time missionary for the church. I never had any intention of ever doing that, so I was very scared when I received the feeling that I needed to go. I stepped back from the beliefs of those around me and sought to find my own testimony and understanding of the church. At first when I did this I never felt so lost, but it didn't take long before I found the solid testimony I was searching for. Over and over and OVER the Lord testified to me that it was true. My testimony in the church has never been so sure or strong in my life. I don't know that there are 5280 ft in a mile because its a known fact, now I know it because I have actually walked many of those miles and can see the road ahead. I know it is true as a witness who has experienced and can testify that it is true. Knowing this truthfulness brings happiness in my life because I know where to find peace, I know that I will be with my family forever and I know I can be protected and accomplish anything by faith in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by accepting the opportunity to serve when it is asked of me. By doing this I have had the opportunity to teach classes at a young age to those who are eager to learn. I have the opportunity to serve as a leader to others and also humbly learn from my leaders as well. I served a Full-Time Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I served as a missionary for 18months in the Vancouver, Washington Mission. I chose to serve because I love sharing the happiness I have found in the Gospel with others.
