Hi I'm Dallin

I am a pre-dental student, I am almost a dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was recently married to the most beautiful woman in the world. For about a year, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for a career. I jumped around between majors until I finally settled on public health to go into dentistry. I'm a US History TA. I love racquetball, volleyball, tennis, ping pong, and soccer. I love to water ski when I have the chance. I try to keep the car running, have ride-able bikes at all times, and keep the freezer well stocked with ice cream.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in this church. Growing up, I felt so much joy as I went to church and was raised in a loving home. I have been truly blessed. I know that not everyone had the blessings that I had growing up. As I learned about the incredible plan of our Heavenly Father--the plan which He created for us, I had to know if this church was really true like I had always heard people say. It mattered to me because of the HUGE implications that came with it-- that we have the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. That there is a prophet on the earth today who is just like Moses and Abraham of old. That I can be sealed (connected) to my family forever, even after this life. And most importantly, that I can return to live with Heavenly Father after this life! Those are very significant things that aren't something to be taken lightly. I wanted to know for myself, so I studied the scriptures and prayed for several weeks to know if they were true. I talked to Heavenly Father in prayer and told him that if it is true, I would do whatever He would have me do. I testify that this church is TRUE. I received the answer that I was looking for through the Holy Ghost. I felt so strongly that it was true. Because of that answer I couldn't wait to serve a mission and tell other people about what I knew---that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real! This church is true! It brings me and my wife SO MUCH joy and happiness! Come and find out more about this true and amazing church!

How I live my faith

I served a mission in Chile where I was able to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ for two years. My experience with the Chileans was a precious experience to me that I will never forget. It wasn't the easiest thing to give up a very good job, as an assistant manager at a restaurant, to go teach people in a language which I barely spoke, but I knew it was what I was supposed to do. I knew Heavenly Father wanted me to do it...to teach all of His children in Chile about Jesus Christ. It took all of my faith to leave my family and those I love for two years. But, because I did, I will be forever blessed. The Lord has poured out so many blessings upon me that I can't help but thank Him every day and continue to have faith in His ways. I have faith that if I keep the commandments, He will ALWAYS provide for me and my family and He will pour out his blessings.

Are Mormons Christians?

Dallin
Yes! I worship Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. The Jesus Christ who was born in Bethlehem to the virgin Mary. The Jesus Christ who performed mighty miracles, including healing the sick, raising the dead, and causing the blind to see and the deaf to hear. The same Jesus Christ who lived a perfect life, and then was mocked, beaten, whipped, spit upon, yelled at, criticized, and crucified. The same Jesus Christ who suffered and paid for all of our sins in the garden of Gethsemane that we might become clean. The same Jesus who, as he was dying on the cross, begged to His Father to forgive those who laughed at him and beat him and killed Him because "they know not what they do." The same Jesus who rose on the third day as a resurrected, glorified being. The same Jesus Christ whose name is the only name whereby we can achieve salvation! I testify that Jesus Christ lives. Yes, I am a Christian, and nobody can take that away from me and say that I am not, just like I can't tell them what they believe. Yes, I am a Christian, and yes, Mormons are Christians.
