Hi I'm James

I've lived in Utah my whole life. I'm a musician, I love music. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just graduated from High School and I'm now on a mission in Seoul Korea. I love music. My friend and I have come out with a CD of self composed songs. I believe that one of the strongest testaments on this Earth that there is a God is music and that through that music, we can testify to others that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church on this Earth today. I also love to play the sports racquetball and ultimate frisbee. I enjoy getting to know new people and discovering the amazing qualities they possess. I am a firm believer in the fact that every person on this Earth has something about them that is amazing and that if we can find out what those qualities are that we can love every person we come in contact with. I love the Gospel and know its true and I believe that it is the answer to universal unity and peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. I've gained a testimony of the truthfulness of this church, and I know the blessings that come from being a member of it. I've had periods of apostasy in my life when I haven't followed the teachings of the church to the best of my ability. I know what the difference is between having the spirit and not having the spirit and it's such a blessing in my life to be a member of this church and to have the opportunity to always have his spirit to be with me if I follow his commandments and live the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I have been called to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and am serving in the Korea Seoul South mission. I will be preaching to the people of Korea in Korean their native language. My purpose as a missionary is to bring others unto Christ through the restored gospel of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. I'm very excited to be serving the lord in this sense.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

James
We were nicknamed Mormons because of our belief in the Book of Mormon. That isn't, however, our true name. We are the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because we believe in Jesus Christ and we as members of this church are saints in these Last (Latter) days. Show more Show less

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

James
All the money we pay to the church in tithes and offerings, are then redistributed to not only church funding programs/projects but also to other industries, institutions, and worthy causes all over the world. Show more Show less
