Hi I'm Martin
I'm a father and music teacher and I'm a Mormon!
About Me
I am married to a wonderful American singer and we live in Birmingham, England. We have 3 fantastic children all under the age of 10. My wife and I met in St. Petersburg, Russia, where we were both studying music. I later trained to be a secondary school music teacher. I currently teach music to students aged 11 to 18 at a school in Birmingham. Music is an important part of our lives. I play piano, organ and classical guitar although I am a little rusty on the latter.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a convert and was first introduced to the Church in 2001, through my wife-to-be. There were three things that initially interested me to the Church. Firstly, it was clear that families were of great importance to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Secondly, that members and missionaries served without pay simply because they believed in their religion. Finally, Temples. I always wondered how God could be just and fair when there were many millions of people on the earth today, and many more over the previous millennia, who lived in a time or place where the Gospel of Jesus of Christ was not available. Coming to know that the Lord provided a way for ALL to return to him was extremely comforting.
How I live my faith
I am pleased to say that I have had opportunities to serve. My greatest pleasure comes from working with youth, spending time with this exiting generation of people who are an example to us all.
