Hi I'm Oliver

I grew up in Tooele, Utah. I play musical instruments. I love Track and Field. I am very devoted to my friends. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love Track and Field. I run the 100 meter, but mostly i am a thrower. I throw Discus, Shot Put, and Javelin. I love to go swimming, hiking, camping, and just about anything outdoors. But i also like to stay inside sometimes and play video games. But if I could be doing anything in the world right now, it would be to spend time with my friends. Friends are very important in my life, because they help me in places where my family can't. I strive to make new friends every day, because each person brings their own individuality, and it helps me expand my horizons. I love to play music. I play the Clarinet, the Bass Clarinet, I am learning the guitar, piano, and love to sing where ever i go. I love every kind of music, from country to hip hop, from pop to dubstep, i listen to just about anything. I love dancing, and i know how to get going on the dance floor. I am an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I love doing service for my community. I am in the FFA, NHS, and a bunch of other extra curricular activities. I love trying new things, and have tried just about every sport my school provides. I love to write fictional stories, though i have never finished one, and love to let my imagination run wild. I tend to fit in with a lot of people, and its gotten me far and i have a great perspective of what some life styles are like. I also love dressing up, whenever i have an excuse to, i have a button up shirt and nice pants on. This is what i am about.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story is for some reason hard for me to explain. Probably because i am still searching for the truth. I have lived my whole life in the church, but i never really listened and i wasn't spiritually part of the church. Then I moved to a new strange place, and the first thing i was met with was... a group of girls. I don't know why this is, but I have an easier time talking to girls than trying to get along with guys, and i guess God knew that. In the year i lived there, these girls managed to change me in so many ways. because of them, i would kind of talk to people instead of hide in the corner, i actually danced instead of stood at dances, and i gained a testimony that year. Then we moved, and i was devastated, because i had finally found friends and we were moving again. I was scared and didn't know what to expect. I got there, and i was immediately accepted into a group of people. i had nothing to worry about. But for some reason, i was still really sad. It wasn't until i went to a youth conference where i met a fantastic young woman who completely broke me out of my shy shell. I didn't know it then, but she saved my life, because i was actually thinking about taking my life. All it took was to stop and talk to me. Since then, i dance my heart out, i speak up when my friends want to do something, and most importantly, I now love who i am, so i have been able to focus on what i truly believe about the church. so my conversion story is still going on, I'm still unsure, but i do believe that this could be the true and only church of god.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions and reactions. I am the first counselor to the young men ages sixteen to eighteen, and together we plan activities to do every Wednesday. In my ward, i started getting my friends and other youth together every few Saturdays and we would have a little fun movie night get together. i started that a year ago, and it is still thriving, and because of it, my friends and i have created closer bonds, because it is a great way to get to know each other. When ever there is a service project that is publicly announced, you can usually find me there, because i believe that it is good to give back the support i have gotten from the community and from my friends. Within my town, there have been three major projects i have helped the city with, so that either i or my friends could get their eagle projects. The best part for me about service is being able to stand back and see the community gain some pride in the way that the town is improving. If i see someone alone, i will grab one of my friends and we go over and talk to them, because i believe that every small kindness will lead to a better you, and it can have a positive effect on the recipient. This is just a few ways i live through my faith.
