Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a nurse, mother of three and married to a wildland firefighter. I love adventure and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of three with my oldest out on a mission. I balance my time between family, my nursing career, service and find time to follow my heart of adventure. I've repelled down a waterfall, hiked in caves, am captain of a small ocean boat, have enjoyed ocean diving, kayaking, rafting, hiked in some amazing places and love to travel. Why not experience life and the beautiful earth our Father in Heaven has given us!

Why I am a Mormon

I find peace in living the gospel teachings of Jesus Christ. I have been through trials of abuse, divorce, being a single mother, a major medical injury and many others and through them all have found peace.

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer my talents as a nurse and often drag my kids in tow to summer camps. My nursing talent is used to help and serve on a board of directors for home health and hospice. I love to teach, help and serve others which brings me closer to Jesus Christ. At church I teach 11-12 year old children about Christ and volunteer at their school in a program called "friends of Rachel." It's important to me that children know people care, that there is always hope and they are loved. I work with families and youth to help them learn their own family history. To see families find stories of the their ancestors and be able to connect with them has been a blessing in my life. I help with the Boy Scouts of America and watched my son become an Eagle Scout last year. We live the scout motto "be prepared" in all that we do as a family. I am so blessed to have a testimony, to know that families are eternal. We all have heavenly parents who love us, and want us to find joy in this earth life. This has been a comfort to me as my husband's career is very dangerous. We have lost friends but know we will be with them again. We are building eternal frienships every day.
